Guru Arjun later completed the Adi Granth - the holy scripture of Sikhism - and placed it in the temple.

The Adi Granth is largely in old Punjabi and Hindi, but Prakrit, Persian, Mahratti and Gujrati are also represented.

Their scripture, the Guru Granth Sahib - also known as the Adi Granth - is considered the living Guru, or final authority of Sikh faith and theology.
