It’s the film on which up-and-coming cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was accidentally killed by a live round in a prop gun meant to hold blanks, discharged during a rehearsal by its star, Alec Baldwin.

Three and a half years after the fatal shooting on the “Rust” set in New Mexico, Alec Baldwin’s western movie is finally being released.

David Halls, the ‘Rust’ assistant director, described the day that Alec Baldwin accidentally shot cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the movie set, during armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed’s trial.

She was there for an Intro to Popstar Dance class led by self-described Gay Choreographer Alec Cohen.
