One of the influencers, Dani Carbonari, who goes by Dani DMC on social media and says she is a 鈥渃onfidence activist,鈥 faced particular criticism for calling herself an 鈥渋nvestigative journalist鈥 in one Instagram video that praised the factory.

Last week Dani Carbonari, a plus-size model who identifies as a 鈥渃onfidence activist,鈥 posted an Instagram reel praising the labor practices of the wildly popular Chinese clothing and home goods company Shein.
