Robbie Moore, a Conservative MP for Keighley and Ilkley, accused Bradford Councils of avoiding commissioning a new inquiry for "fear of unearthing a very significant problem".

It comes after calls from opposition parties for a fresh inquiry into grooming gangs, including Conservative MP for Keighley and Ilkley Robbie Moore.

Robbie Moore, Conservative MP for Keighley and Ilkley, called the latest delay "sheer mismanagement" and said Bradford Council needed to be transparent about the use of "hard-earned" taxpayer cash.

Hundreds of swimmers turned out for a full moon swim at Ilkley Lido as part of a campaign to save the venue.

Ilkley Lido was opened in the West Yorkshire spa town back in 1935 as part of the Silver Jubilee celebrations for King George V.
