What鈥檚 the difference between its and it's?
Its is the possessive form of the pronoun it鈥攊t means belonging to it. 滨迟鈥檚 is a contraction of it is or it has鈥攎eaning that 颈迟鈥檚 a combination of the two words, making it shorter to say.
The confusing part is that possession is often indicated by an apostrophe and the letter s (鈥檚), as in That is Mike鈥檚 car or Is this anyone鈥檚 jacket? But some possessive pronouns鈥攊苍肠濒耻诲颈苍驳 hers, theirs, and its鈥攋ust add s on the end, without an apostrophe.
