President Trump issued a late-night executive order Thursday calling for an end to government dollars for the Corp. for Public Broadcasting, the taxpayer-backed entity that provides funding to public media outlets the president described as “left wing propaganda.”

In his late-night post, Trump said that "many of our allies and friends are celebrating May 8th as Victory Day, but we did more than any other country, by far, in producing a victorious result" in the Second World War.

But we both loved the experience of going to the movies and talking about them afterward, breaking them down scene by scene over late-night coffee or fries at Swingers.

But even as Deborah’s dream comes true, in the real world, late-night is troubled.
