Their giant, phony smiles reminded me of dolphins circling their prey and their mean laughter is blended into the sound of cackling birds.

“We realized this is a theater movie — the laughter together, the crying together,” says Burke.

They are either having a very good time — with much laughter and banter, and perhaps a tear or two when a butterfly emerges from the cocoon — or else they are excellent actors.
