The US and Ukraine have signed a deal that will give Washington access to some of the war-torn country's natural resources.

A natural resources deal between the United States and Ukraine has finally been agreed after months of twists and turns.

Unlike its neighbours, Armenia does not have natural resources or access to the sea.

The war in Ukraine has also put new emphasis on the country's bountiful natural resources in oil, gas and critical minerals.

An agreement that would see the US invest in Ukraine's recovery, in return for a share of the country's future profits from its natural resources, energy infrastructure and its oil and gas.
