Talks have stalled because of divisions over the return of displaced Gazans to their homes, the permanency of a cease-fire and what an Israeli withdrawal from Gaza would look like, among other points.

“These folks have already been through so much and it’s frankly embarrassing that we can’t figure out how to give them the permanency that they’ve earned.”

In a statement they said: "The perversion and constitutional obscenity of a partitioning border in the Irish Sea would be given permanency through its acceptance by the DUP, if they return to Stormont now."

“We really want to create more permanency for lecturer faculty. Not necessarily equatable to tenure but something that gives people some sense of belonging to the university,” she said.

The seeming permanency of encampments, and the trash, fires and unsanitary conditions they often generate, have led to what she describes as widespread impatience.
