A provincewide state of emergency was declared Saturday in Alberta as more than 110 wildfires burned across the province, forcing more than 24,000 people to leave their homes.

After Foothills’s study helped establish the transformative potential of EVT, the neurologists worked with the government of Alberta to implement a provincewide strategy called ERA: Endovascular Reperfusion Alberta.

While the manhunt continued, police also issued a provincewide alert for suspects in a shooting on the Witchekan Lake First Nation.
