On the “Batman: Long Halloween — Part Two” Blu-ray disc, viewers get the 16-minute DC Showcase animated short starring Golden Age comics hero “The Blue Beatle,” that has him team up with Captain Atom, The Question and Nightshade as they battle Doctor Spectro.

“There’s a huge win for domestic recyclers and producers,” said Luke Palen, president of Spectro Alloys Corp., which separates aluminum from other scrap metals and recycles it into alloys used by car makers.

Spectro contributed the second track, "Hamburger Helper."

He is also resuming work on the European Space Agency cometary mission Rosetta, on which he has an ultraviolet spectro­meter instrument, and on plans to fly research payloads on suborbital spacecraft.

And astronomers use spectro­meters to probe the atmospheres of distant exoplanets for conditions that might support life.
