On set, Davies was dressed in a performance capture suit, and later he was transformed into a primate by Weta FX - the same company behind Gollum in Lord of the Rings.

The monkey was created by Weta, the special effects company responsible for Gollum in Lord of the Rings and Caesar in Planet of the Apes.

They produced the “PBS NewsHour” until 2014, when it was taken over by the service’s Washington station WETA.

Taylor also had a few words to share, nodding to his Weta Workshop workers and the cast and crew of the “LOTR” trilogy of films “that supported us through the last seven years.”

Weta Digital used our suit, and his performance as lighting and texture references to model and manipulate the Bloater in postproduction.
